Coded Welder
Location: Scotland Central Belt, with travel to sites across Scotland, NW, and NE England

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Coded Welder to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing high-quality welding tasks for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various pipework installations and systems. The role requires proficiency in multiple welding techniques and experience in boiler insurance inspection repairs. This is a full-time position based in the Scotland Central Belt, with travel to various sites across Scotland, NW, and NE England.
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment.
- Inspect welded joints and structures to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and fabricators to ensure accurate project execution.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot and repair welding equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Welder in an engineering environment.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in welding.
- Certification in welding (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) is preferred.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with boiler shell repairs.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery and fabrication.
- Ability to weld in various positions (e.g., flat, vertical, overhead).
- Experience working with a variety of metals, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
- Basic knowledge of metallurgy and welding properties of different materials.
