PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
We are recruiting for a Pricing Lead to help develop our pricing and FX strategy for our current and future investor audiences. The role’s purpose is to analyze the market, and the profitability of our business, and work with the Executive Leadership Team to formulate pricing strategies, initiate and get approval for price changes, and oversee their development and delivery to customers. The role is also responsible for maintaining strong pricing governance, including robust comparison data and ensuring fair value for our customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to define pricing strategies
* Understand the dynamics of our pricing model and recommend changes to optimise it to stay competitive, drive growth and retain profitability.
* Maintain a clear view of our position vs competitors and surface any gaps/opportunities in our pricing.
* Understand and refine our customer and product level profitability views and the margin we earn for different offerings.
* Work closely with Marketing, Product, Ops and Finance to deliver pricing initiatives to market.
* Support with business case development for each pricing initiative and get buy-in for approval and change resource.
* Lead as an SME on Pricing and FX in the business. Keep current with industry trends, supply side developments, business direction and emerging competitor activity and have these inform the roadmap.
* Own the governance and accuracy of pricing comparisons used as part of marketing activity.
* Own the development of our Currency Conversion/FX proposition.
* Own the Fair Value Assessment process for the ii offering, ensuring we are focused on good customer outcomes and transparency.
* Work with the Executive Leadership Team and delivery teams to ensure that credit interest payable is closely monitored and decisions are being made when the environment requires it.
* Maintain the first line of Risk/Compliance defence by ensuring individual adherence to business processes and procedures that are designed to meet the regulatory standards set out in the relevant FCA rules and guidance.
* Make informed risk decisions and effectively and credibly debate and challenge management recommendations within your role in line with the approved Risk Management Framework.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Strong experience of the D2C platform industry or similar
* Strong experience of managing pricing decisions and analysis
* Investment experience and understanding especially FX.
* Experience in customer research and insight
* Strong understanding of data and analytical abilities
* Deep analytical capabilities with the ability to leverage data and technology to scale performance
* Experience in a high growth business and a regulated organisation
* Expertise in customer loyalty
* Proactive and self-driven networker
* Excellent communication and influencing skills
* Able to present well to all levels of an organisation
* Resilient and resourceful
* Knowledge of the regulatory environment and associated risks that require managing.
