Highly Specialist Pharmacist - Homecare and Medicines Optimisation

We are looking for a Pharmacist with experience in Homecare and medicines optimisation to work at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to join the wonderful friendly pharmacy team at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for a specialised Band 8a pharmacist who will play a significant role in leading the homecare service and contributing to the medicines optimisation agenda at Royal Bolton Hospital. This is an exciting new role for the department and we are looking for a forward-thinking candidate to help drive the service.

Main Duties of the Job
* Lead the homecare and medicines optimisation pharmacy team to ensure high-cost drugs are managed safely and effectively.
* Support specialities and areas that use high-cost medicines, working in partnership with commissioners to ensure the most cost-effective use of these medicines in line with national and local guidance.
* Lead and manage the homecare pharmacy team, responsible for setting up new services and reviewing homecare provider performance to ensure patients are receiving safe and effective care.
* Provide clinical support as a senior Pharmacist to the dispensary team and other members of the pharmacy team as required.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
* Pre-registration training and experience
* Membership of The General Pharmaceutical Council
* Diploma in clinical pharmacy
* Good all-round clinical knowledge and practical clinical skills
* Non-Medical Prescriber, registered with the GPhC
* Membership of The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain
Experience
* Post registration hospital experience
* Experience working within homecare
* Experience with medicines optimisation/high-cost drugs
* Able to think clearly in stressful situations
* Experience of managing a team
* Evidence of successful multi-disciplinary working
