Job Summary
As part of North Ayrshire Council's Modern Apprentice Recruitment Process, if you are chosen as a Preferred Candidate following the interview, you must complete a 1-week pre-employment Course with one of our Employability Partners before being issued with a Conditional Offer of Employment.
The qualification to be achieved on completion of the Modern Apprenticeship is SCQF 5.
Modern Apprenticeship posts are open to all North Ayrshire Residents aged 16-19 years old at the commencement of employment.
Responsibilities include assisting in the organisation of a busy kitchen, preparing and serving food and beverages, and operating within Health & Safety Guidelines.

PVG (Children)
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to confirmation of employment by North Ayrshire Council. The cost of the PVG will be met by North Ayrshire Council.
