An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead our busy Governance team to provide guidance and support to ensure effective governance of the Broads Authority within a Local Authority setting.
The role will be responsible for directing and supervising the work of the Governance team and liaising with the Monitoring Officer (a role currently undertaken by an external provider). Key tasks include reviewing constitutional and corporate documents, ensuring they remain up to date and supporting members of the board.
The postholder is also expected to be a Deputy Data Protection Officer to support the Data Protection Officer. Training will be provided to those without qualifications.
Applicants should have experience in a similar role. We are looking for a proactive person who is a problem solver, works well in a team and has good communication skills via several platforms.
While the candidate is new to the role, they will initially be office based. However, subject to successfully completing tasks, the role will be split between home and the office, subject to a trial period.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on 26 February 2025.
Interviews will be held at Yare House, Norwich on Tuesday 11 March 2025.
