The Opportunity
The Role
Senior Managers fulfil a senior and strategic role in supporting the Head of Real Estate, (UK, & EMEA) in running the Real Estate team. They will take a leadership role in respect of certain clients and/or product areas, working closely with the Head of Real Estate, Digital Legal Delivery (UK & EMEA) to foster and build on the relationship with those clients and grow and develop the team and the strategy for the Digital Legal Delivery Real Estate business in those areas. The Senior Manager will also collaborate closely with other Senior Managers in the Digital Legal Delivery Real Estate team, to deliver work on a UK basis for the London Real Estate team and for the firm's external clients.
The Senior Manager will have responsibility for building relationships with the firm's Real Estate group to build a strong reputation for Digital Legal Delivery, identify opportunities, develop business, grow product lines and to plan and oversee the delivery process of these services.
Key responsibilities
1. Scoping, pricing and setting-up new matters, briefing the team and supervising the team to ensure delivery/execution of matters on time and within budgets.
2. Liaising and collaborating with clients and teams elsewhere in the firm as required on fee-earning or other projects.
3. Assisting the Head of Real Estate in growing the revenue of Digital Legal Delivery in line with annual targets, as well as maintaining best practice in relation to the financial management of all of our matters, to ensure optimal profitability in our work.
4. Co-ordinating business development activities for the Digital Legal Delivery Real Estate practice and attending client meetings, pitches and events, to represent Digital Legal Delivery and helping to expand our offering.
5. Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of relevant areas of law, providing technical excellence across the corporate practice, as well as responsible for the learning and development needs of the rest of the Digital Legal Delivery Real Estate team.
6. Responsible for the development and best practice project management for the delivery of work, including in respect of resourcing across the Digital Legal Delivery Real Estate team.
7. Takes the lead in seeking to improve our processes and offer innovative solutions to clients including (but not limited to) enhancing legal service delivery through the use of legal technology tools (e.g. artificial intelligence for DD).

Qualifications and skills
TECHNICAL
Essential
8. Admitted as a Solicitor/Lawyer in England & Wales or Northern Ireland.
9. 7+ years' PQE gained in the real estate practice area unless exceptional circumstances exist. If you do not meet the 7 years’ PQE requirement, but feel that exceptional circumstances are applicable to you, then you will be required to submit a supporting statement outlining why you are an exceptional candidate (including relevant skills and experience).
10. Proven experience of supervising and running a real estate team and experience across a range of real estate disciplines including, but not limited to, asset management, due diligence, sales, purchases and refinances.
11. Experience in the energy sector is an advantage but not an essential requirement.
