Job Title: Senior Director Regulatory and Scientific Affair (H&W) EMEA Job Location: Lopen, South Petherton TA13, UK Job Location Type: Hybrid Job Contract Type: Full-time Job Seniority Level: Not Applicable Job Description Your Responsibilities The Senior Director HW RSA Compliance and Technical Operations is the senior function responsible for the operation of the ADM Health and Wellness RSA and ensuring compliance with EU and UK regulations of HW manufacturing sites in the same regions. This role is part of the HW EU Leadership Team and plays a key role in shaping the operation of the RSA in HW by supporting the HW Global Head. ADM’s HW business offers a robust portfolio of ingredient opportunities for humans and animals, including but not limited to pre- and post-biotics, botanicals and naturally based ingredients. These include microbiome solutions and speciality health products and ingredients such as fibres, plant and nutritional oils, mixed tocopherols and vitamin E, sterols, sterol esters, isoflavones and natural preservative systems. The Main Duties For This Role Include Drive operational excellence of RSA by representing RSA HW as the local Regulatory-Operations interface and go-to contact person for EU and UK matters. Promote a culture of regulatory compliance across cross-functional teams including Quality, Supply Chain, NPD and Sales to ensure regulatory compliance is integrated into operational processes. Advise and support the Global RSA HW Head on business operations requirements to ensure RSA HW team members are adequately resourced to meet the commercial and technical requirements of business stakeholders in relation to the day-to-day operation of HW manufacturing sites. Work closely with the RSA Corporate Functional Community to lead the partnership between function and site in Europe/UK on RSA ways of working and standards. Engage with the global RSA community and local authorities to keep abreast of evolving regulatory standards and requirements and effectively communicate changes to operational teams to ensure production operations related to regulatory product compliance meet all applicable EU and UK regulatory requirements. Responsible for the RSA HW database(s) for EU and UK business partners (operations and lifecycle management). Identify opportunities to streamline RSA HW processes within production operations by implementing best practices while ensuring regulatory compliance and increasing efficiency and effectiveness. Lead risk assessments related to product compliance for HW products manufactured and/or to be marketed in the EU and UK. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate regulatory risks and ensure continued regulatory compliance of HW manufacturing sites in the EU and UK and the products manufactured in those sites. Liaise with external partners (regulatory bodies, trade associations) in coordination with global and regional HW leadership to represent the business and defend ADM’s interests (e.g., HFMA, FSE, EHPM, PRI). Support due diligence required for MA and JV activities as identified and requested by Global RSA and Business leadership. Your Profile At least 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance in the food industry. Experience in leadership and team management. Proven track record of developing and implementing regulatory compliance strategies for product development and commercialization. Understanding of Food Supplements industry (or similar) in various functions (quality systems, operations, product development, etc.) and how they relate to product regulatory compliance. Ability to work in a team environment, including remotely and with a cross-cultural approach. Experience working in an agile and fast-paced environment is a plus. Strong, independent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and very good command of written and spoken English. Computer literacy and excellent user skills in business related software (SAP, Microsoft Office package). Experience with process improvement methodologies (E.g., Lean management) is a plus.
