Overview
Enva is a specialist recycling and reuse company focusing on refrigerators and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team in Stourbridge. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide variety of plant machinery used in recycling operations, with a focus on reactive and planned preventive maintenance. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on, production-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform reactive maintenance to ensure machinery operates at optimal performance levels.
2. Overhaul, adapt, and carry out improvements on existing machinery.
3. Mechanically biased role with some electrical work involved.
4. Replace bearings, inspect compressors, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
5. Maintain and repair equipment including conveyors, pipework, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding tasks.
6. Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the plant and suggest new methods and procedures.
7. Complete all documentation to a high standard.
8. Carry out basic facility and site service maintenance as needed.
9. Ensure effective teamwork and adopt a flexible, first-time-right approach.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1. Mechanical bias with Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
2. A minimum of 1-year mechanical experience, preferably in hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and general plant machinery.
3. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment, ideally with experience in a recycling plant or similar industry.
5. A flexible, team-oriented attitude with the ability to adapt to different tasks and shifts as required.
6. Knowledge in continuous improvement and new working methods.
7. Flexibility required for covering other shifts when needed.
