Are you passionate about supporting individuals to improve their mental health and well-being? We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Graduate Mental Health Worker to join our Inclusion Integrated Mental Health and Substance Misuse Services, working across Staffordshire and Worcestershire Prisons.
This Band 4 role is an exciting opportunity to deliver psychosocial and psychological interventions to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties in a unique custodial setting. Main duties of the job
As a Graduate Mental Health Worker, You Will:
* Deliver one-to-one and group-based interventions under the supervision of registered mental health professionals.
* Assist in assessing care needs and developing personalised care plans that promote recovery and resilience.
* Provide mental health support, signposting, and advice to individuals with mild to moderate mental health needs.
* Promote self-care, social inclusion, and functional recovery to help individuals improve their well-being and prepare for reintegration into the community.
* Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams, statutory bodies, and voluntary sector agencies to ensure holistic care.
* Support service users in understanding their mental health needs and navigating prison and community services.
* Monitor progress, adhere to care plans, and assist in crisis management when required.

Person Specification

* Experience of delivering Mental Health interventions and signposting for mild to moderate mental illness.
Desirable:
* Working in a prison or community setting.
