We're seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our team, responsible for managing a portfolio of clients across various sectors, including charities, housing, and education.

As an Audit Manager, you'll be the key contact for client matters, providing assistance to Partners on client work and team management. You'll also play a significant role in delivering our national Not-for-Profit strategy, including growth plans.
Your primary responsibility will be to manage a portfolio of clients, which may vary depending on your preference. You'll work with a range of stakeholders, including Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners, to deliver accurate and transparent reporting.
Key responsibilities:
* Act as a major point of contact within the firm, responding to requests and keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
* Responsible for the financial management of a portfolio, completing assignments within agreed budgets and timescales.
* Ensure assignments are staffed with the appropriate mix of knowledge and skills required.
* Ensure the firm's risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to at all times.
* Identify and recognise business and sales opportunities.
* Support Partners and Senior Managers in developing new business relationships and proposals.
* Recruit, retain, develop, and motivate employees, including participating in graduate recruitment and ensuring job appraisal documentation is completed.
* Work as part of a management team to plan resources, attend merit rate meetings, and implement efficiency gains.
* Act as an ambassador for the firm, participating in office marketing events and staying up-to-date with the firm's services.
* Act as a role model for trainees and executives.
Requirements:
* ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent.
* Previous experience of managing people.
* Good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting requirements.
* Working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice and regulation, and compliance.
* Experience of systems/controls testing, substantive auditing, consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts, and disclosures.
* Project Management experience.
