Cammach are currently recruiting for a Tendering Specialist. Located in Aberdeen, the role is on a permanent, full-time basis and offers hybrid working.
ROLE
Reporting to the PG Tendering Manager, the Tendering Specialist is responsible for the effective coordination and consolidation of all inputs from internal support functions to develop the Pipeline Group tender proposal. The Tendering Specialist shall support the Tender Lead / Proposal Manager through each phase of the tender, through to consolidation and submission of the final proposal. The Tendering Specialist ensures the client requirements of the tender are adhered to and that tenders are performed in compliance with Company tendering guidelines and processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop the tender estimate for the purpose of having a complete, accurate and optimized cost estimate, ensuring all inputs are approved and delivered in line with the BMS and tender schedule.
2. Develop and distribute the ITT review matrix ensuring all clarifications are consolidated for return to client. Ensure that all subsequent tender bulletins, and clarification responses are received, distributed and reviewed including post submission clarifications.
3. Develop the PG deliverables matrix and support with ensuring all deliverables are approved and delivered as necessary.
4. Establish and maintain an effective and collaborative interface with internal and external stakeholders including regional tendering teams, PG tendering team and PG Management team.
5. Drafting of internal tender authorisation papers, presentations and documents which may include presenting or supporting presentations to PG Management.
6. Control the efficient performance of the tender through; strict adherence to the tender schedule, action tracking and close out and facilitation of gate review meetings.
7. Support the Tender Lead to perform preliminary screening of risk and qualifications register and consolidate with input from the technical departments.
8. Contribute to the maintenance of all tendered data records, to support the management analysis/forecasting and tender benchmarking.
9. Manage the handover of any awarded project estimates to the PG Cost Controllers.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Previous experience of working in a Tendering environment is desirable but other relevant commercial/technical experience is welcomed.
2. Effective communication and time management skills with the ability to coordinate, track and motivate the tender team to meet deliverables within the time constraints.
3. Thorough approach with analytical skills to consolidate, challenge, review and present confidently all elements of the tender costing.
4. Committed to the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity with strict adherence to the Company tendering processes.
5. Commercially aware and highly numerate, with and an ability to work with detail and accuracy.
6. Enhanced planning and organisation skills, with the ability to identify and effectively prioritise workload to effectively meet multiple, often competing deadlines.
7. Ability to develop and adapt to role requirements, demonstrating an interest in personal development.
8. Committed to continuous improvement and identification of efficient work methods and processes.
9. Willing and able to travel for occasional short assignments within the UK and globally.
