Our client is a global leader in energy metering and control solutions. They have a significant presence in the UK, with over 5 million smart metering assets deployed, playing a key role in energy efficiency projects. The client works closely with social housing projects and new build developments, supplying innovative products that support decarbonisation and sustainability.
Due to expansion, they are now seeking an Area Trade Sales Manager to oversee and grow their business in the Scottish Central Belt region. In this role, you will be responsible for managing installer and merchant relationships, driving product sales, and ensuring customers receive excellent service. Regular travel within the Scottish Central Belt area will be required to build and maintain strong customer connections.
About the Role
Drive sales and business development in the Scottish Central Belt region, focusing on energy metering and control solutions for industrial, commercial, and utility sectors. Build and nurture strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and repeat business. Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with company goals, focusing on achieving revenue targets and increasing market penetration. Create and deliver compelling proposals and presentations, outlining product benefits and competitive advantages. Monitor and report on industry trends, competitor activities, and new technologies to adapt sales strategies accordingly. Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to senior management, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.About the Candidate
Minimum of 2-5 years of sales experience, preferably within the energy metering, control solutions, or related technology sectors. Experience in the energy, technology, or HVAC sectors is preferred Proven ability to identify opportunities, manage the sales pipeline, and close deals. Excellent negotiation and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions. .Points Of Appeal
