As a finance manager, you will be providing a high standard of service to our budget holders in every aspect of their finances and service delivery. Ideally you will have financial experience within a large Acute Trust or other NHS setting and be motivated towards attaining a CCAB qualification.

To work within the Group Finance Team to provide comprehensive financial advice to Service and Speciality managers to enable the achievement of financial balance and contribute to the business planning process and service developments.
• To advise in the interpretation of monthly financial reports to ensure that managers have accurate financial information to be incorporated in the decision-making process.
• Deliver a programme of financial training for managers to ensure that a high level of financial management skills is present. In addition, assisting in raising the awareness within the Trust of the financial regime of both the NHS and the Trust
• To deputise for the Senior Head of Group Finance or Deputy Head of Group Finance as and when appropriate
• To support the Senior Head of Group Finance in providing support to the Corporate Planning team with the supply of relevant financial information and the monitoring of performance to support the commissioning.
• To obtain and evaluate financial information for input to business cases, and to complete financial aspects of Capital Bid forms on behalf of the Group/Speciality/Department
• Maintaining professional knowledge to ensure any financial advice is given with the latest information from NHS/Trust or professional bodies.
• Co-ordinate the work of the Finance Assistants where appropriate.
• Maintaining an effective working relationship with other individuals of the finance function, other officers of the Trust and members of the public, ensuring that work is carried out efficiently, to a high standard, to deliver a professional service focused on achieving a high level of customer.
