As Finance Manager, you will oversee and manage all accounting matters in the UK, whilst ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. You will be the UK finance team leader and a key person in UK wide projects as well as instrumental in helping to facilitate a streamlined European accounting close cycle.
What will you do?
* Working with UK controllers to ensure monthly, quarterly, annual numbers are submitted timely and accurately, and all internal processes are completed.
* Responsible for monthly general ledger close activities including account maintenance and monthly / quarterly variance analysis.
* Completion of 16 UK audits, and preparation of statutory accounts for all entities, plus the accounts for one UK branch.
* Completion and submission of tax computations for the above entities.
* Working with individual controllers to support the above and providing guidance where needed. This will include oversight of the entire UK finance team (minimum of 4 direct reports).
* Responsible for the maintenance and oversight of SOX compliance activities.
* Working with US corporate team and Regional Financial Controller to implement new initiatives where necessary.
* Support on payroll, AR, AP activities where required as well as annual budget.
* Support to business heads and Regional Financial Controller on ad hoc projects where required.
* Work with other external contacts, bankers etc. where required.
* Support team with indirect tax filings etc. where required.

What are we looking for?
* The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role with proven finance team leadership skills. A dynamic finance professional with excellent communication and presentation skills to be able to build strong trust-based relationships.
* Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP and/or SOX are highly valued.
