EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our Network Control team have an opportunity for you to join as our new Resource Facilitator.
This is a part-time role only working 30 hours per week across 5 days. The salary for this role is circa £24,958.
In your new role, you will ensure that the Control Centre has the correct staffing requirements, both in terms of numbers and skills on each shift, 24/7, 365 days a year.
You will ensure compliance with the Working Time Directive (WTD) and support the planning and forecasting of resources to reduce overtime.
Additionally, you will proactively identify gaps and weaknesses in the rota and mitigate them, support the skills development of the Control Centre team, and ensure working patterns are correctly recorded in SAP.
Key accountabilities will include:
1. Manage and produce the key resource plans for all teams within the Control Centre including updating SAP.
2. Formulate options to optimise the resource plan.
3. Ensure visibility of the rotas to the teams involved.
4. Create resource plans to support training & development, 1-2-1’s, team days and other planned activities.
5. Manage the reactive resource requirements to support incident & event management, sickness cover or skill gaps.
6. Ensure that the rota plans are fully compliant with WTD and other requirements & obligations.
7. Support AIP & PIP by flexing the rota to support.
8. Ensuring that the Control Centre business rules on rota management are adhered to (shift swaps, holiday booking etc).
9. Gathering & production of MI on overtime, flex cover, shift changes etc to support Control Centre management team and weekly resource plans.
10. Development and Creation of new working patterns as required to support departmental changes.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
In order to be successful in this role, you must have the capability to collate information to formulate staff rosters and the ability to analyze statistical information to make informed judgments. A methodical and flexible attitude towards roster building is essential, as there will often be a need for changes. You should be capable of identifying schedule ‘hotspots’ and shortfalls and effectively communicating these to the appropriate people within the business. Excellent planning, organization, and prioritization skills are crucial, along with the ability to cope under pressure. Great interpersonal and communication skills will also be key to your success.
