Job summary We have an opportunity for an additional Practice Nurse to join our team at Martlesham Heath Surgery. A great opportunity to work with an innovative and expanding surgery alongside current members of staff. We are looking to employ a Practice Nurse, ideally with Primary Care / GP Experience to join our small friendly clinical team. For our team the successful candidate would have a wealth of knowledge and ideally bring a minimum of 2-3 years experience with them. Our Clinical team is built on Health Care Assistants, Practice Nurses, Advanced Care Practitioners, Paramedics and GPs who are assisted by our Reception and Administration staff. This role will be enhancing the current Nursing Team, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective services to the whole practice population. As a member of the clinical nursing team the post holder is responsible for their own practice, whilst being accountable to the senior trained nurse on duty. We currently utilise Anima, a clinical system to allow online contact with our patients. Some, but not all, requests for Clinical care are received via this system. With additional overtime, sickness and annual leave cover also available. Full discussion of availability / working hours will be had at interview. Main duties of the job You will delivering care within the boundaries of your role and experience, focusing upon supporting patients to be healthy, monitoring of long-term conditions, health prevention and screening activities. Regular Practice Nurse duties will be undertaken while working closely with the established Clinical Team.
