Description
As a Senior Bookkeeper at Xeinadin, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Client Manager with managing a diverse portfolio of clients. With responsibilities across bookkeeping tasks, VAT returns, and assisting with annual accounts preparation, you'll have the opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic and client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist the Client Manager with managing a portfolio of limited company clients, including both office-based and on-site bookkeeping.
2. Handle purchase and sales ledger tasks, including raising and entering invoices in accounting software.
3. Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
4. Prepare and submit VAT returns, liaising with clients to resolve queries and obtain approval.
5. Prepare and post journals, including payroll, prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets.
6. Provide support in the production of annual accounts when required.
7. Build strong, lasting relationships with clients, offering advice and recommendations on bookkeeping processes.
8. Actively seek opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes and make use of accounting software and apps to enhance client experiences.
9. Ensure strict deadlines are met, particularly regarding HMRC submissions.
Key Requirements
1. Fully qualified AAT or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role.
3. Ideally, experience in an accountancy practice environment.
4. Strong experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks.
5. Full UK driving license required for on-site client visits.
