Our client, a leading provider of business services and workplace solutions based in Ashton-under-Lyne is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst & Hardware Technician to join their IT department.
As the IT Business Analyst & Hardware Technician, your job purpose will be to provide Tier 1 IT Support to the business. You will manage the handling and communication between the Company user base and the Service Desk process from the initial point of contact through to notification of resolution.
Main Duties:
1. Manage the Service Desk telephone line during core business hours.
2. Be the initial response for all IT-related requests to the Service Desk.
3. Solve all IT requests that come into the Service Desk.
4. Delegate requests to 2nd line support where there are knowledge gaps within processes or where you cannot solve a ticket.
5. Liaise with external Suppliers on requests that are serviced externally.
6. Ensure that all requests are solved within SLA and bring failing requests to the attention of the IT Support Manager.
7. Manage the allocation and movement of Company IT software and licenses within the Service Desk and associated spreadsheet registers.
Skills/Experience:
8. Knowledge of MS applications(O365 experience would be a bonus)
9. Able to work independently and as part of a team
10. Knowledge of all business processes around applications used in a busy IT department within a medium to large business.
11. Ability to install, configure and administrate all applications used within the business on the laptop\desktop of company users.
