Doing Amazing Things Together
We’re all about possibilities. Are you?
Are you able to communicate with people in other ways than words? Can you shop until you drop? Do you love make-up and are you a devoted Disney fan?
Become a Support Worker.
What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way.
We are looking for a fun-loving person to join our brilliant team supporting 3 ladies who live in their own home in Loughborough.
You will be working in their home, so it’s important you can connect, share interests and be interested. Our ladies have a great sense of humour sometimes involving practical jokes. You will need to love animals, with farm visits forming part of their weekly routine and be ready to get stuck in with lots of activities at home and in the community. It’s crucial that you can communicate with people using other means than words. A familiarity with using Makaton would be beneficial.
This is a part time role up to 30hrs per week.
You should be available to work a variety of shifts across the week and alternate weekends, including some sleep-in shifts as needed.
So if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.
Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010
Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence.
