The Reporting and Analytics Team sits within the wider Group Technology Corporate Services team and is responsible for enhancing, maintaining and supporting the suite of reports, dashboards and reporting integrations within Oracle Fusion. The team works with the ITV Global Process Owners and other key stakeholders to deliver a first class BI reporting service, delivering key business data insights to drive improved business behaviours and ways of working.
The role
We are currently looking for a Reporting & Analytics Analyst. This role will be responsible for the design, development, delivery, and enhancement of reports and dashboards across the organisation to primarily serve core corporate functions, supporting the Reporting & Analytics Lead with various BI Continuous Improvement initiatives as required.
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)
* Analyst level experience as an Oracle Fusion Report Developer supporting ERP, EPM & HCM using In-Tool Oracle Fusion Reporting technologies OTBI and/or BI Publisher (BIP).
* Working knowledge of the Oracle Fusion ERP and/or HCM underlying data table structures and intermediate SQL skills.
* Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion adjacent concepts (Fusion Publishing, Fusion Security Configuration, Data Connections, Bursting, OCI warehousing, Cloud Reporting strategies, PaaS Reporting etc.).
* Must have good hands on experience of one of OTBI, BI Publisher or an adjacent skill (e.g OBIEE).
* Experience with release management protocol and deployments into Production for reports and data models.
* Demonstrable analytical and data accuracy skills.
Dashboard & Reporting design and creation
* Experience working with SQL to an intermediate level.
* Experience of an Oracle Fusion environment - in particular the use Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and/or BI Publisher.
* Understanding of core business concepts within either Finance or HR.
* Strong analytical and data accuracy skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Strong engagement, presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal) Ability to distil complex information and present it in a simplified manner.
* Ability to understand business challenges and develop analytical and data-led solutions.
Governance and assurance
* Familiarity with standards and controls large businesses have to operate under and their implications to the role (e.g. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)).
* Strong understanding of quality management such as standards, regulations and applicable policies and procedures.
Abilities and characteristics
* Understanding of business systems and how large organisations are leveraging data to deliver increased value.
* Delivery focused, project experience.
* A pragmatic decision maker, adept at resolving issues in collaboration with stakeholders.
* Inquisitive and able to elicit information from a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrates proactivity and a self-motivated approach.
* Able to communicate with a non-technical audience by translating technical concepts into language they understand.
