Job summary 37.5 hours per week. We are seeking a highly motivated plumbing based professional individual, to work 37.5 hours over 5-days, to assist a multi-skilled team of tradesmen in carrying out the maintenance and working on buildings, building services, plant and equipment within a range of healthcare buildings. Working across our estate located across Plymouth and South West Devon, this role is primarily to undertake routine planned and reactive maintenance to the plumbed systems. You will be experienced in heating systems as well as hot and cold water systems, drainage, sanitary systems etc and will be flexible, applying your knowledge and experience to other healthcare related equipment as and when the need arises. You will also be required to work on your own after having gained experience of the sites. Good communication skills and a willingness to undertake training are required. You must be numerate and literate, with good written skills. You must be able to work overtime at short notice, if required, and have the ability to travel across Plymouth. This role involves participating in an on call rota after successfully completing a 6 month probation. Main duties of the job To undertake maintenance and installation work for mechanical services and equipment. The post holder will be required to carry out routine maintenance and repair of a range of electro-mechanical equipment within Livewell Southwest hospitals, health centres, clinics and administration buildings. Including heating systems, plumbing, building management systems, motors and pumps, engineering plant, equipment and processes. To serve as part of the maintenance team to deliver high quality care through effective and efficient operation and maintenance of all healthcare building services.
