The Director of Rugby Sales will lead our Global strategic sales initiatives within the rugby sector, focusing on selling our innovative wearables and video platforms to rugby clubs, federations, and teams globally. This strategic individual contributor role is primarily centered on developing and implementing a targeted sales strategy, positioning our products effectively in the rugby space, and working alongside regional sales teams to drive growth and expand our presence in rugby. You will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy within the Rugby sector, targeting clubs, federations, and teams. The primary focus is on driving revenue growth by positioning the Catapult's wearables and video platform effectively in the Rugby market. This individual contributor role involves supporting regional sales teams with strategic insights, building strong relationships with key Rugby stakeholders, analyzing market trends, and collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to tailor solutions and ensure market alignment. The Director is tasked with achieving sales targets, optimizing outreach, and enhancing the company’s presence within the Rugby industry globally. WHAT YOU’LL DO Strategy Development & Execution Create and execute a robust sales strategy for the rugby market, aligned with the company’s growth goals and overall vision. Market Insight & Positioning Conduct in-depth market analysis to understand rugby trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning, ensuring our products meet sector-specific requirements. Sales Enablement & Support Serve as a strategic partner to regional sales teams, providing insights, strategy alignment, and support to help close rugby-related deals and achieve revenue targets. Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key rugby clubs, federations, and teams to drive product adoption and partnership opportunities. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to customize offerings and develop materials that resonate with rugby organizations. Performance Tracking Monitor, analyze, and report on sales performance within the rugby sector, using data to refine strategies and improve results. WHAT YOU’LL NEED 8 years in B2B sales within sports tech, with a direct focus on the Rugby industry. Demonstrated success in strategy development and implementation. Deep understanding of Rugby’s operational needs and trends, with established relationships in the industry a plus. Strategic thinker with excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to lead and influence in a matrixed environment. Entrepreneurial, proactive, and adaptable, with a passion for Rugby and innovation in sports technology. Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence executive-level decision-making. Passion for sports, technology, and SaaS solutions is highly desirable.
