As a Mechanical Fitter you know what you’re doing when it comes to builds.
You’ve read enough assembly drawings and hydraulic schematics to know when something’s off. You get stuck in, not stuck. And you’ve always preferred doing over talking.
As a Mechanical Fitter or Fitter/Tester, that’s exactly what this role needs.
You’ll be joining a hands-on production team with a solid pipeline of work.
As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll be building offshore kit that’s bigger than average. Not overly complex, just scaled up. If you’re used to drilling, tapping, bolting components, bending pipes, and working from drawings, you’ll be right at home.
If you’ve got hydraulic testing experience, you’ll come in as a Fitter/Tester. If not, you’ll start as a Mechanical Fitter and be supported to learn. Either way, there’s room to grow.
Who will you be working with?
Here you will be working with a team with different strengths. Some thrive under pressure; others keep everything ticking in the background. Some are early in their careers; others know their way around the job with their eyes closed. This is a chance to be part of something better.
There’s a new Production Manager in place & the vibe has shifted. Music on. People smiling. Tools out. It feels like how a shopfloor should… and if you are finding every day is always the same, you certainly won’t find that here.
What will your day as a Mechanical fitter look like?
Assembly 7 fitting from supplied drawings. Hydraulic testing and machine setting if you’re stepping in as a Fitter/Tester. Using hand tools, pipe bending, marking out. Thinking on your feet when parts don’t quite go together. Passing on what you know to apprentices come into the business.
The extra opportunities you have open to you here…
From time to time, someone in the Mechanical Fitter team gets asked if they fancy a trip to Holland, Aberdeen or further afield. It’s not expected. No pressure. Just an option if you’re up for a bit of travel now and again.
Who’s right for this?
You’ve got a few years of experience under your belt as a Mechanical Fitter or similar You’re someone who gets the job done properly Happy to stay long term & keep learning If you’re from a maintenance background, it’s got to be the right fit, this is about assembling, not just fixing
You’ll be part of a business as their new Mechanical Fitter that values presence, not just process.
One that’s open about where it is now and ready to invest in what comes next.
As part of an employee-owned company, you’ll have a direct voice in the company’s future direction and a share in its profits…when the business thrives, so do you.
For this role it’s a one stage interview with the team. They’re ready for you to start when you are. And if two great Mechanical Fitters come along, there’s room for both, so if you are working with a friend you don’t want to leave behind get them to apply too.
