FTH Hire Group is one of the largest and fastest growing independent plant and tool hire companies in the UK, with ten depots across the South of England and Scotland. As a result of our ambitious growth plans, we are looking to add additional high calibre people to our growing business.
We are now looking to recruit a Transport Coordinator to work closely with the Transport Manager based out of our Farnham Depot to assist with:
1. Ensuring that vehicles are maintained in line with operator license requirements
2. Co-Managing the drivers and on-site admin
3. When necessary, coordinating the fleet of drivers
4. When necessary, schedule and route plan for work to be completed
5. Keep drivers and clients updated regarding any traffic issues or delays in the deliveries
6. Ensuring all deliveries are completed in agreed timescales
7. Handling any complaints and resolving issues where possible
8. Daily administrative duties
9. Early start to allow vehicles to get onto major roads without the traffic
10. Ensuring Vehicles are inspected by relevant garages every 8 weeks
11. Maintain and exceed targets
12. Working closely with the Transport manager and alongside the Hire Controllers
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experiences:
1. Route planning experience
2. Good administration and customer service experience
3. Excellent telephone manner required as you will be dealing with customers over the telephone
4. Knowledge of the construction industry would be an advantage
5. Experience of working in a fast-paced working environment
6. CPC license holder would be advantageous.
