The Role:
The PMO Lead works within the M&G Wealth Change team in the Project Management Office (PMO). The role supports the M&G Wealth Change Agenda and Portfolios working closely with the Change Leads, project managers and central Transformation Office to monitor and manage an appropriate control and reporting framework, whilst supporting central programme governance and oversight.
As a PMO Lead you will:
•Contribute to the success of projects/value stream and support Wealth in achieving its strategic objectives
•Have effective stakeholder communication and strong relationships, supported by collaboration, cross-project teamwork and cross-functional relationships
•Centralise reporting and information and deliver it to the right stakeholders at the right time to enable informed and timely decisions
•Support adherence to the Change Lifecycle and Standards, promoting a strong project governance framework through support and quality assurance of governance activities
•Be viewed as an integral part of both the Value Stream and PMO.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for supporting, monitoring and reporting on the Value Stream delivery and performance eg. assisting Change Lead and Project Managers with status reporting, milestone reporting, RAID (Risk, Assumption Issue and Dependency) management
2. Ensuring Value Stream adheres to M&G Change Standards and produces quality project documentation to meet governance and control standards
3. Supporting the Change Lead and Project Managers with governance meetings eg. Steering Committees, Working Groups etc. as required
4. Provision of commercial support for programmes/projects, such as: supporting contractual agreements through M&G systems, gaining approvals and initiating requisitions and payment of invoices
5. Responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting for the Value Stream, which includes cost forecasts, resource plans, accrual management etc.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
6. Experience of monitoring and reporting in a project environment
7. Experience of delivery through a full project lifecycle
8. Experience of managing stakeholders across a range of business areas
9. Experience of project governance and producing quality project documentation
10. Working knowledge of JIRA / Confluence, Microsoft tools, PPM tools
11. Working knowledge of risk management principles and their impacts on projects
12. Working knowledge of project methodologies, planning processes and techniques
