Working as part of a skilled multi-discipline team, Head Medical is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS Inpatient Psychiatric Intensive Care who would offer outstanding clinical leadership and care for the patients admitted to the functional ward. Working for one of the largest NHS mental health trusts in the country, serving a population of over one million people in Nottinghamshire, this is an exciting time to join the medical workforce and have the opportunity to shape the provision of care to patients within the community.
This vacancy was created to fill a replacement inpatient post suitable for a CAMHS Psychiatry colleague who will assume responsibility for diagnosing and treating patients admitted to functional inpatient wards.
A daytime cross-cover arrangement for emergencies exists between the inpatient and community CAMHS Consultants within Nottinghamshire, and the post holder will contribute to this arrangement.
This is a 10 PA post: 5.5 Direct Clinical Care, 2 academic sessions available, 2.5 SPA with a 30% Recruitment and Retention Premium. The Consultant Psychiatrist will be the Responsible Clinician for patients on Hercules ward. The Consultant is responsible for the physical care and mental health treatment for young people on the ward.
