What You'll Be Doing: Carry out full electrical and lighting installations for tanker vehicles, including advanced systems such as camera setups. Perform fitment of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) wiring looms and hardwire connections to junction boxes as needed. Install individual electrical components, ensuring precise wiring to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and compliance with technical specifications. Conduct fault-finding and diagnostics on tanker electrical systems using advanced diagnostic tools, ensuring issues are accurately identified and resolved. Perform a wide range of electrical repairs on tankers, ensuring all work is completed to high safety and performance standards. Primarily site-based, with occasional travel required for urgent or emergency situations. Engage in all necessary training provided by the company. Strictly adhere to the company’s health and safety policies and procedures. Provide exceptional service to customers while meeting deadlines and maintaining professionalism in all interactions. Whilst the above outlines the main duties of the post the list is not exhaustive, and duties may need to change in the light of future developments or from time to time as directed by your supervisor or manager Who We’re Looking For: Hands-on experience working with 24v electrical systems, particularly on tanker vehicles or similar specialized equipment. City & Guilds Level 1, 2, and 3 certificates or equivalent qualifications in a relevant field are advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in diagnostics and electrical system repairs. High levels of professionalism, enthusiasm, and communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workloads effectively. The ability to work independently and take initiative, particularly in challenging situations.
