About Our Academy
For over one hundred years it has been our privilege to serve the local community in this part of Rotherhithe. The children of our Lewisham Primary School, our children, are our best asset and sit at the heart of all we do. They deserve the very best start in life that we can give them. Working together, we aim for our children’s years at our Lewisham Primary School to be one of the happiest, most productive and fulfilling times of their lives. We wish all of our children to feel success in their endeavours, to have a strong sense of identity and community, to be empowered as individuals and to develop positive emotional, social and physical wellbeing.
We want children from our Lewisham Primary School to have the capacity and the desire to be future leaders: of our community, of our country and of our world. To achieve this, we employ some of the most dedicated and talented staff in London.
Consistency for us is that we continue to work for, and achieve, outcomes consistently above national expectations for all the children in our care. Staff have the highest expectations of conduct, effort and attainment ensuring all children have the best possible outcomes. We are very proud of our inclusive practice that ensures no one is left behind. We are committed to providing a positive environment that is welcoming, safe and supportive.
Our Lewisham Primary School is an inclusive and welcoming school where every child is seen as an individual and celebrated for who they are. We pride ourselves on working with vulnerable children.
We look for ambitious and culturally aligned staff who are enthusiastic, hardworking, conscientious and energetic individuals. Our people want to work with students to ensure that, regardless of their background and circumstances, they achieve to the best of their ability. In return, we offer a calm, orderly and respectful environment. We also offer a range of staff benefits and development opportunities which support your professional and career development. You will be able to learn from some of the best and most able practitioners in the country. There is a far-reaching commitment to ensuring that all our staff are given access to excellent development and induction programmes. There is also a clear imperative, driven by senior staff, to minimise bureaucracy and maximise impact, which to date has been hugely welcomed by staff and produced outstanding results for our students.
