As an Apprentice Surfacing Operative, youâll support the vital need to be involved in the surfacing, resurfacing and improvement of vast stretches of roads and the highway network. You will help with the removal of old roads and surfaces, preparing for the new surface, complete inspections, and testing of the new surfaces. You will learn how to operate a wide range of specialist plant machinery such as rollers and spreaders. \n\nThere will be 2 weeks of block training, which could be residential, depending on where you live. Breedon will cover the costs of any accommodation, travel and meals. \n\nIf youâre one to tiptoe around puddles with trepidation, maybe this role isnât for you.
