OurVets Halswell is a well-established small animal practice that prides itself on providing high standards of care to both our patients and clients. We are a close-knit and caring team who work hard and enjoy a good laugh along the way.
About the role and clinic:
* We are looking for a small animal veterinarian to join our wonderful team of experienced veterinarians, a strong veterinary nursing team, and a dedicated practice manager. Our existing team of veterinarians has nearly 50 years of experience between them!
* We encourage career growth and development, supporting special interests or being well-rounded general practitioners.
* You'll enjoy a good balance of consults and surgeries.
* This full-time role offers flexibility between 35-40 hours per week, including 1:4 Saturdays.
* Our clinic is well-equipped, complete with ultrasound, x-ray, and in-house lab.
* We have a spacious setup, including a separate dental suite, surgical theatre, and prep room. We are also excited to be acquiring laparoscopic equipment for keyhole surgery in 2025!
* OurVets Halswell collaborates closely with our wider OurVets group, with regular meetings and CPD events.
* We are a community-focused clinic and enjoy engaging with our local community, based in a wonderful growing suburb with great clientele and lovely local walks/parks for a lunchtime stroll.

We are looking for a passionate small animal veterinarian with:
* BVSc qualification (or equivalent) and registered, or eligibility to register to practice in New Zealand is required.
* 2+ years of small animal veterinarian experience, comfortable with routine surgery and consultations.
