The Infectious Disease Solutions Programme (IDSP) is looking for a Senior Research Manager with experience of managing research projects particularly within global health. You will help oversee projects in our existing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and snakebite research portfolios alongside contributing to the wider portfolio of activities within the Vector Control & Therapeutics team.
In this role you will:
1. Oversee management of existing funded AMR and snakebite research projects and their effective implementation - monitoring progress against milestones and facilitating necessary adjustments.
2. Contribute to the effective delivery of funding decisions for projects aligned with our strategy, providing critical scientific assessment of applications, participating in decision-making reviews and making clear recommendations to senior management.
3. Clearly communicate the strategy and work of the Infectious Disease Solutions Programme to internal and external audiences.
4. Effectively use knowledge and expertise to manage, influence and sustain long-term relationships with research teams, funding partners, and other stakeholders.
5. Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments.
To be successful in this role you will have:
1. An advanced degree in the life sciences or equivalent demonstrable experience
2. Significant expertise in Infectious Disease through work in academic, industrial, or funding settings
3. Experience in research project management and grant administration
4. Strong relationship management skills with diverse stakeholders
5. Excellent communication and organizational abilities with capacity to manage competing priorities
