Main duties of the job You will be expected to be part of the leadership team for acute medicine, which currently consists of 6 specialist pharmacist posts, and take on a specific element of the service delivery e.g. education, training, governance, operational etc. You will take on a specialty link role which will ensure specialty specific knowledge is maintained & up to date within the team. You will work closely with the MDT, on & off the ward to support governance, education and medication safety, particularly supporting medicine optimisation on ward rounds, utilising your prescribing skills. You will be expected to line manage one or more of the band 7 pharmacists on the team, providing mentoring, and supporting them with their objectives which may include starting out as an independent prescriber.
