SUMMARY
Inspect all fabricated parts created to ensure they meet customer, iNRCORE, and all other pertinent drawings and specifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High school or equivalent education. Specific job training (trade school or military) preferable.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of related job experience.
KNOWLEDGE: Must be able to operate a myriad of inspection tools.
SKILLS: Must have good manual dexterity and good visual acuity. Must be able to work using a microscope or magnifying lens on miniature parts, including those used in surface mount parts.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must occasionally crouch, stoop, or reach. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
SPECIFIC POSITION DUTIES
1. Document changes or discrepancies in the parts as to design, specification, and process as they are discovered. Communicate these findings with the engineer.
2. Measure part dimensions using various measuring tools while documenting all necessary values.
3. Assist in cleaning parts using various equipment while inspecting.
4. Maintain a professional work ethic, clean work area, and safe work practices and 5S requirements.
5. Assist the Department Manager with the weekly shipment schedule, review, filing of all documentation, maintaining the integrity of all paperwork.
6. Assist the Department Manager in the upkeep of all lab tools and equipment, and the proper storage of all materials (5S).
7. Perform other duties as outlined by the direct supervisor.
