Your work will result in comprehensive business requirement documentation and functional specifications, such as BRDs and User Stories.
You'll also take on the role of Product Owner, developing and communicating a clear product vision and roadmap aligned with business goals. As the primary point of contact between stakeholders and development teams, you'll ensure alignment on product goals and priorities.
Stakeholder management is another key aspect of this role. You'll collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and constraints. Facilitating effective communication between business users, IT teams, and other stakeholders will be crucial.
In terms of solution design and validation, you'll work with architecture, engineering, data, and operations teams to design solutions that meet business requirements and user needs. You'll validate proposed solutions through user acceptance testing (UAT) and feedback sessions, ensuring that delivered solutions are of high quality and meet business objectives.
Continuous improvement is a core part of this role. You'll identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Implementing best practices for business analysis and product management, you'll stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains competitive.
Mentoring and leadership are also vital components. You'll provide guidance and mentorship to business analysts and product owners, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in business analysis and product ownership, with a proven ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You'll be adept at stakeholder management, solution design, and continuous improvement, while also demonstrating leadership and mentorship skills.

In addition to these core skills, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology or Business Studies is highly desirable. Certifications in business analysis or agile methodologies, such as Certified ScrumMaster or Agile Project Management, will further enhance your candidacy.
Understanding Project Management Frameworks and toolsets like ADO and Miro is also beneficial. Your excellent Microsoft Office skills will support your day-to-day tasks, while experience with data analysis and business intelligence will help you make informed decisions.
Experience with ITIL Service Management Processes and working within organizations focused on facilities or asset management will be advantageous. Familiarity with modern service-based organizations and experience working with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) or its service providers will set you apart.
