We're recruiting for a Market Development Manager to join BMS Performance in our Central London location.
Sat within our Sales Recruitment division, the Market Development Manager will be tasked with segmenting Industry Segments, identifying key prospects within it, creating business development strategies to drive new client acquisition with companies that fit a clearly defined ICP and then grow those relationships into long term partnerships. The Market Development Manager is responsible for achieving their own sales revenue targets through growing and developing their portfolio of accounts. Using an incredible suite of technology along with your own expertise, you'll be a support to the business development team within your division, actively working closely with the National Sales Manager to execute your own business strategy & help build a culture of excellence and high performance. Once you have developed the relevant skills required and delivered results, with the support of the NSM you will have the opportunity to recruit, coach and mentor your own team of BDM's to build out the division.
This role is suitable for someone with a genuine passion for business development, who thrives off building new client relationships and has a passion for improving others.
We are looking for the following skills, attributes and experience:
* 5 years B2B sales experience where you will have managed the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing business
* Must have experience of growing existing accounts through both service level and identification of additional decision makers
* Must have experience of owning and growing segment(s) within a business sector or industry to increase market share
* Strong understand of consultative selling techniques - ideally SPIN or GAP sales methodologies
* Naturally curious with the ability to think critically
* Able to set a plan to achieve a goal, be strategically minded, analytical and show decision making capability
* High level of coachability & a natural interest in consistent self-improvement
