IT Security Project Manager – Fully Remote
The Security Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of security-focused projects across multiple programmes, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic objectives and priorities.
The role involves maintaining strong governance, effectively managing risks, and ensuring projects meet clearly defined security requirements. Additionally, the Security Project Manager ensures that project benefits and outcomes, particularly those enhancing the organisation’s security posture, are fully realised and communicated to all relevant stakeholders
A track record of delivering IT Security projects within (but not limited to) the follow areas:
* Identity Access Management (IAM): Overseeing the implementation of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Conditional Access (CA) policies to enhance identity and access security.
* Privileged Access Management (PAM): Managing the deployment of systems to secure privileged accounts and critical infrastructure.
* Password Management: Coordinating the implementation of secure and scalable enterprise-level password management solutions.
* Third-Party Access Security: Leading projects focused on securing access frameworks for external vendors and contractors.
* Web Filtering Solutions: Managing the rollout of enterprise-grade web filtering systems to mitigate online threats and enforce acceptable use policies.
* Email Filtering and Security: Overseeing the deployment of advanced email security solutions, including anti-phishing, malware protection, and secure email gateways.
* Cloud Security: Managing the implementation of Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions to secure cloud-based applications and enforce data protection policies.
Please note this role is remote with some UK travel
IT Security Project Manager key responsibilities will include:-
* Facilitate the definition of the project scope, requirements and deliverables
* Define project tasks (work breakdown structure) and resource requirements
* Manage the project budget in line with business expectations and budgetary commitments
* Develop, control and communicate the project plan, timeline and milestones
* Track and report project deliverables to the project team and stakeholders
* Manage Risk, Issues and Changes on an ongoing basis
* Ensure that any deliverables requiring support are handed over to the relevant teams
* Ensure that project audit responsibilities are met
* Close the project, ensuring lessons learned are documented
* Follow applicable policies, framework, standards and guidelines that have been identified for the particular project
* Responsible for acquiring resources (internal and 3rd party, if required) and co-ordinating the effort of the team members in order to deliver projects according to plan and budget:
* Assemble and co-ordinate project team (Business, IT and External)
* Negotiate with resource owners and as required, ensure that project targets are provided for project resource
* Identify Roles and Responsibilities for the project team
* Where 3rd party contract negotiations are required, the Project Manager will work with the relevant procurement team to ensure that procedures are followed
* Ensure that appropriate project team training is planned for
* Identify and liaise with Key Stakeholders to provide applicable governance for the project:
* Identify and agree participation of Project Sponsor
* Where required - creation of the Project Board and Project Steering Groups
* Regularly monitor and report progress to all stakeholders
* Provide communication to all project members and stakeholders
My client are offering a salary of up to £60,000 to £62,500 plus benefits depending on experience
