1. The post holder will be rotational between the inpatient physiotherapy teams predominantly providing mobility practice, exercise sessions and more complex rehabilitation to patients. They will be responsible for supporting the Cardiothoracic and Transplantation Therapy team (CT&Tx) in the provision of a patient-centred service, in an efficient and cost-effective way. This may be a rotational role. 2. The post holder will assist in the provision of care to patients, supported and supervised by senior therapists. 3. The post holder will carry out clinical tasks to support the CT&Tx therapy team, such as supervision of daily individual rehabilitation delegated by qualified staff, requiring a wide range of technical ability, as well as an excellent level of interpersonal skills. 4. The post holder will carry out clinical assessments independently, within their Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner competency framework. 5. To gain the required knowledge and skills in the relevant technical, clinical and organisational procedures, and to maintain those skills working under the Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner Competency programme under the supervision of Specialist therapy teams. 6. The post holder will continue individualised rehabilitation and developmental programmes with patients and progress and review these with support from qualified therapists as appropriate.
