Workshop Foreman.
The company:
They support industries by providing parts and services to aid production and client engineering teams projects. They design, manufacture, maintain, and repair equipment as required with their in-house production expertise and network of specialists. They are primarily a machine shop and a lot of what they do is designed to aid this aspect of the business. They are a professional company who have managed to maintain a family feel to the business. As a small company, their workforce has developed to a point where employees are able to carry out multiple roles.
Requirements:
Ideally, an applicant will have at least 10 years of experience in engineering, preferably machining or maintenance with a supervisory role. The successful candidate will have gained experience in:
1. People management
2. Time management
3. Planning
4. Knowledge of production methods
5. Fault finding
6. Knowledge of design and implementation methodologies
The Job:
You will manage workflow through the shop, liaising with machinists, fitters, design engineers, and managers. You will need to prioritise work based on customer and workshop demands. Part of this will be communicating job requirements such as materials and external process support when required.
The working week is 39 hours (07:00 Mon-Thu, and Fri 07:30).
Salary: Negotiable depending upon experience.
