The Business & Opportunity: Our client is a friendly, established and growing firm of Chartered Accountants in Leeds who, due to increased workload, are looking to add to their team. Working with their varied client based of fast-growth businesses across multiple sectors, you will help across both the payroll and bookkeeping departments. They offer a truly hybrid approach, with a mix of home and office working (based in LS15 on the North East side of Leeds, closely accessible to the motorway network). Specific Requirement: Payroll: Collecting payroll information from clients and entering data into the payroll software. Calculating wages commissions, benefits and deductions. Maintaining accurate payroll records. Preparing and distributing payslips. Responsible for RTI submissions. Responding to payroll queries. Ensuring that clients are aware of their NI and PAYE liabilities. Assisting with CIS return submissions. Bookkeeping: Data entry on accounting software (Sage, Quickbooks, Xero). Maintaining client records and producing reports. Assisting in the preparation and timely submission of VAT returns. Assisting with the preparation of month end and year end accounts and related reporting required. Skills and Experience required: Experience in Payroll. A good level of knowledge and experience of using Sage Payroll. Bookkeeping experience preferred, but not essential as training can be provided. Work well under pressure, maintaining a friendly and professional manner. A solution finder, able to work through problems effectively. Attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational skills. Confident, motivated and have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
