Job Title: Operations Transport Manager Location base: Teesside Geographical remit: Local area to home terminal Total Reward Package: Basic salary £40,500 Car/Car allowance Pension 4% EE 6% ER Holidays 25 per annum increasing with service Free onsite parking Life assurance Appropriate structured training and development activities Hours of work: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) with one hours unpaid lunch break per day, with a need to be flexible. You will be expected to work either during the am set hours (4am-6am) OR the pm set hours (4pm-6pm) and work the rest of your daily hours before or after these set times. Engagement with the drivers may be required from time to time outside your regular working hours. Role Purpose: As Operations Transport Manager you will have responsibility to manage the safe and cost effective utilisation of all drivers and equipment within your location, ensuring that the customer service requirements are fully met and in line with the business objectives of Oxalis Logistics UK for the Fuels, Bitumen, and Gas clients. Key duties: Provide leadership, development and support to the Teesside team enabling them to deliver their best every day in line with and demonstrating our company value Ensure legal and procedural compliance for Fuels, Bitumen, Gas operations. Build and maintain good relations with driving team, planning team and clients Recruitment, onboarding and training of new and current employees Investigate incidents, disciplinaries, absence management Responsibilities: Coach, manage and motivate their team in order to reach their full potential. Ensure resource availability for the Fuels, Bitumen and gas operations Ensure company build and maintain good relations with all local stakeholders Proactively ensure that incidents are kept to a minimum, and that any incident is investigated thoroughly without prejudice Skills and Experience: Knowledge of Driver Hour regulations Understanding of O Licence process and regulations People management To ideally have had experience of working with Trade Unions at local levels.
