Are you skilled at scheduling and carrying out servicing and routine maintenance (including MOT preparation) on all machinery, vehicles, and tractors?

The Company:
A family-run farming company with a focus on combinable crops and potatoes.
The Job Role:
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Farm Mechanic to support the farming operation.
Location:
Herefordshire
Salary Package:
£35,000 - £42,500 basic salary with the opportunity to work overtime at busy times of the year.
Working Hours:
Monday - Friday, 39 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inspect, diagnose faults, and repair farm machinery and equipment where necessary.
2. Attend machinery breakdowns.
3. Schedule and carry out servicing and routine maintenance (including MOT preparation) on all machinery, vehicles, and tractors.
4. Record keeping of all work/maintenance.
5. Management of work priorities.
6. Procurement of spare parts/components from the most cost-effective source.
7. Assist with farm duties at busy times of the year.
8. Compliance with HSE requirements.
Candidate Skills and Requirements:
* Previous experience in a mechanical role on a broad range of vehicles and machinery (essential).
* Ideally having had experience working on heavy plant or agricultural machinery (preferred but not essential).
* Ability to diagnose faults.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage own workload.
* Pro-active and can-do attitude.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Good communication skills.
* Welding experience.
* Experience driving farm machinery and forklifts would be advantageous.
