Senior Project Planner

Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the quality and accuracy of project plans, schedule analysis, and resource allocation in alignment with project objectives.
* Prepare detailed reports to provide up-to-date project insights for project managers and stakeholders.
* Maintain and verify the integrity of project plans, ensuring timely updates and clear communication across all levels.
* Monitor and track project performance, ensuring data accuracy on a weekly and monthly basis.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline the planning and execution process .
* Identify and address project issues, communicating effectively with relevant stakeholders .
* Oversee resource planning, identifying project requirements, resolving conflicts, and ensuring proper allocation.
* Conduct regular project control reviews to assess and refine planning processes.
* Apply and report on Earned Value Management (EVM) and Critical Path Analysis (CPA) .
* Manage Risk and Opportunity assessments and updates.
* Implement best practice tools and processes to enhance planning efficiency.
* Support the development of bids and proposals, contributing to successful project acquisition.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree or relevant qualification (e.g., APM certification preferred).
* In-depth knowledge and experience with the APM Body of Knowledge (APM membership preferred).
* Proven expertise in project planning, ideally within the aerospace and defense sectors .
* Solid understanding of planning structures and principles (e.g., WBS, PBS).
* Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent planning tools.
* Experience with Lifecycle Management (LCM) processes.
* Demonstrated ability in EVM, CPA, and QSRA .
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills .
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and lead cross-functional efforts .
* Familiarity with industry regulations and standards in aerospace and defence.
