What are we looking for?
* Intermediate level of mechanical or electrical or utilities or controls expertise.
* Proven record of maintaining industrial equipment.
* Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving Electrical or Controls or Mechanical/Utilities issues within a manufacturing environment.
* Electrical - diagnosing faults and maintaining equipment such as VSDs, circuit protection, and safety circuits.
* Controls - experience of PLCs, Allen Bradley preferred but not essential.
* Mechanical - diagnosing faults and maintaining equipment such as chain drives, transmission systems, complex mechanical machines.
* Utilities - experience working with HVAC systems, steam plant, refrigeration systems.
* Experienced in basic and complex problem solving.
* Engineering Qualification such as Served Apprenticeship and/or BTEC/NVQ or equivalent.
* An action-orientated, results-driven individual with great customer focus who works well with people.
* Priority setting supporting breakdowns and focus where necessary.
What will be your key responsibilities?
* You will be responsible for fault diagnosis and resolving technical failures on production machinery, including Electrical, Controls, and Mechanical issues.
* Detailed reporting and recording of maintenance work using our SAP system.
* Provide technical support and coaching to assist others in the resolution of equipment failures with Safety and Quality in mind.
* Drive and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen).
* Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis on major unplanned breakdowns and recurring problems.
* Undertake preventative maintenance activities, repairs, filler jobs, etc.
