Finance Director | Healthcare Cardiff | Hybrid Working Renumeration | Up to £120k base package GM29454 Finatal is retained by an acquisitive healthcare business who are backed by a prominent mid-market Private Equity firm. With a strategic focus on growth and a drive towards an exit in the next 2 years, the business are on a transformational journey to professionalise and upgrade across the function as a whole. With a new CEO in post, who comes from a highly accomplished, finance focused background, we are seeking an ambitious Finance Director to directly support as well as lead the current team by fact finding, transforming and providing clarity to empower commercial decisions. The right candidate will have determination to develop as the business scales, have a methodical approach to growth and is adaptive. They will have the ability to lead, partner, influence and develop to raise the finance function whilst building relationships. The Role • Provide (or support the team as necessary to provide) further financial information to internal stakeholders necessary for the operation of business. • Key business partner to CEO • Professionalise the finance function through establishing controllership, systems development and improvement to drive efficiency and bring a proactive nature to the team with speed. The current environment is manual so there is an element of ‘hands on’ work. • Responsible for automating and streamlining current processes using advanced excel skills. • Improve efficiency and effectiveness in current finance processes and KPI’s. • Identify potential cost savings within the business and process efficiency. • Recruit new posts into the Finance Team and restructure if/when necessary. Requirements • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong academics. Considerable post qualification experience. • Excellent Interpersonal skills building trusted relationships with all parts of the business. • Proactive mindset with ability to ‘roll sleeves up’ and make a true difference. • Confidence in challenging senior leaders • Experience building a best-in-class finance function in a growing business, with demonstrable leadership skills and experience managing a team. • Previously worked in a business of scale, with a track record of developing and improving systems and processes. Experience in a data-complex business with uncertain commercials. • Ambitious, dedicated, and hardworking, with a strong track record of progression and success. Candidates will be analytical thinkers with excellent commercial acumen and strong interpersonal skills as well strong technical understanding.
