Thomas Telford School Full-time Accounts Assistant £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, Monday - Friday We are seeking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team at Thomas Telford School to assist with all aspects of Finance at Thomas Telford and across the Multi Academy Trust. We are seeking someone who is highly motivated, conscientious, hard-working and works with a high degree of detail whilst maintaining the highest professional standards. Assisting with the preparation of monthly prepayments and accruals. Preparing and posting journal entries. Assisting with maintaining the Fixed Asset register including posting depreciation and disposals. Assisting with the day-to-day banking tasks, including raising payments and preparing bank reconciliations. Analysis of financial data and reporting to various colleagues. Supporting the Finance Manager and senior colleagues as required. Qualifications and skills: At least 2 years’ experience in a Finance function, or an AAT studier. A team player who is forward thinking and happy to support colleagues as required. Effective communication skills to be able to confidently and competently relay financial information to non-finance colleagues. Highly motivated and committed to best practice and process improvement. Strong Excel, numerical and written skills. High level of integrity and confidentiality to protect sensitive information.
