To provide excellent customer service by proactively managing customer accounts. This includes handling enquiries, processing orders, reporting on the progress of the orders, and expediting them as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage dedicated customer accounts from initial contact to completion.
2. Communicate with other departments to ensure customer enquiries received are responded to as accurately and swiftly as possible either via telephone, email, or fax.
3. Enter customer orders in an accurate and timely manner.
4. Work with other departments to ensure availability of products so that customer orders are delivered on time and in full.
5. Provide customers with documents such as Proof of Delivery information and invoices, as requested.
6. Achieve defined performance targets/standards and contribute to the achievement of service levels.
7. Maximise all potential sales opportunities.
8. Gain a basic understanding of the product range being offered and advise the customers accordingly.
9. Maintain up-to-date customer data within the CSS.
10. Gather customer feedback and escalate complaints where necessary.
11. Provide support to supervisors and department managers as needed.
12. Undertake housekeeping and reporting functions.
13. Attend and contribute at team meetings.
14. Ensure your skills base is maintained through continual understanding of new products.
15. Adhere to standard operating procedures.
16. Communication methods during day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to phone, e-mail, messaging platforms, Microsoft Teams, etc.

NVQ Level 3 in customer services preferable or equivalent demonstrable experience in a customer services/account management role ideally 1 year plus.
