Health Equity & Inclusion Service Administrator
An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join the new Health Equity & Inclusion Service.
The newly formed service will work with other services in Sirona to improve accessibility to vulnerable or underserved populations across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.

This interesting post offers you an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the Health Equity and Inclusion Service. You will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative and clerical support to the team.
You will be working in a busy environment and will need good organisational and communication skills, patience and enjoy working flexibly within a team.
The role requires someone with an adaptable attitude who likes a variety of tasks and wants to make a difference to diverse and vulnerable groups.
Main duties of the job
* Receive interpreting requests for various languages to the service and allocate assignments to team members.
* Where requests cannot be met in house, then sign post customer to external provider.
* Attend, take notes and contribute to team meetings.
* Sending letters and reports - information will be confidential.
* Manage interpreting assignment bookings and cancellations for the service.
* Maintain an accurate and up to date electronic service database to interpreting requests and service engagements information.
* Receiving internal and external post, sorting and prioritising tasks, daily correspondence, and e-mails as appropriate.
* Answering the telephone, taking, and relaying messages.
* Assist with ordering and managing supplies.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ 3 in administration or equivalent demonstrable experience.
* Numeracy and literacy level 2 qualification or equivalent demonstrable skills.
* Willingness to undertake training required for the role.
Skills, knowledge and experience
* Range of IT skills including electronic communication, text processing, spreadsheets and databases.
* Able to work in a team environment but also to act on own initiative.
* Effective interpersonal skills and written communication skills.
* Working in a health/social care or service oriented organisation.
* Able to use a range of office equipment with training.
