Our Douglas-based client who is focused on fiduciary services with a reputation for excellence is growing their team and are now seeking a Part-time (circa 15-20 hours per week) Credit Controller to join and play a leading role within the firm.
In the role of Credit Controller you will be responsible for:
* Managing the debts of clients
* Assisting the team with maintaining up-to-date accounting records for the Group of Companies
* Work with the teams to monitor any write-off and uplifts to ensure effective control and consistency
* Maintain relationships with existing clients and debtors, including negotiating terms of payment
* Take a proactive role in managing and collecting debtors
* Ensure timely payments are made
* Monitor the day-to-day debtor receipts
* Reconciliation of client balances
* Process incoming funds and reconcile invoices
* Check and post receipts to accounting systems
* Preparation of statements, client status reports and related information as required
* Resolve account queries and respond to client enquiries
* Responsibility for investigating variances between monthly budgets and actual results
* Preparation of ad hoc reporting requested by directors and senior management
* Assist the Head of Finance with general central finance activities
* Use best judgement to highlight and report inefficiencies in the business
* Ensure the effective and efficient day to day operation of the finance team across all Group Companies
* Provide an ongoing and consistent support to colleagues reliant on the Central Finance Team - focusing sharply on best practice
The ideal candidate for the role of Credit Controller will have:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in a finance team environment
* Possess excellent communication skills enabling effective contact at all levels both internal and external
* Able to plan and carry out own work under general direction
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Good knowledge of relevant computer applications
* High degree of flexibility and willingness to help others
* Friendly and professional manner
* Have commercial acumen
