Role Information: Our Hair & Beauty academies function as real working salons, providing learners with a full working salon experience while acquiring new skills. We offer a diverse range of courses, from Level 1 to Level 4, and have experienced remarkable growth, expanding to 13 academies nationwide.
As a Hairdressing Tutor, you will leverage your expertise alongside our robust training programmes to deliver and assess our courses for apprentices, adult learners, and study programme learners. By placing your learners at the centre of everything you do, you will support and inspire them, guiding them toward outstanding learning and assessment outcomes.
We do require our Hair & Beauty tutors to offer a degree of flexibility regarding their working days and hours to accommodate new cohorts and timetable adjustments at the academy.
You will need these important qualities:

DUTIES:
* Plan and deliver training programmes that ensure robust ILP and adhere to the scheme of work and the Education Inspection Framework standards.
* Ensure that apprenticeship standard requirements, including functional skills, are met where applicable, ensuring learner progress is effectively reviewed and tracked to ensure timely and overall completion.
* Ensure learner readiness for end point assessment (EPA) and set SMART targets on action plans to support them to achieve for apprenticeship learners.
* Support employers in understanding their responsibility relating to on and off-the-job training where applicable for apprenticeship learners.
* Ensure all learner records and reporting are kept up to date and provided in a timely manner to support management reporting and audit requirements.
* Undertake assessment, portfolio evidencing and tracking of achievement using the LCG e-portfolio and tracking systems.
* Where applicable, generate teaching and learning resources as required or use the LCG resources.
* Provide robust and impartial information, advice, and guidance to learners throughout their learner journey including exit advice in relation to employment opportunities.
QUALITY ASSURANCE:
* Participate in LCG quality assurance activities working closely with the quality team.
* Ensure CPD is planned and reflects company and stakeholder requirements as guided by the quality team.
* Manage learner feedback through learner surveys as per LCG requirements and achieve overall 95% learner satisfaction.
* Liaise with the Lead IQA regarding audit and compliance of reviews, ILPs and shared resources.
* Follow up on learner absences and ensure timely communication with employers on learners’ absences, progress, and achievement.
GENERIC DELIVERABLES:
* Deliver KPI’s in line with company expectations (Register, marking policy, learner satisfaction).
* Complete regular and ad hoc reporting as and when required.
* Positively promote the ethos, culture, and development of the LCG in every aspect of its business.
* Contribute to the commercial income of the academy salon, meeting salon targets.
* Conduct your role in line with the behaviour aligned with our company values.

* Ensure the maintenance of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
* Provide learners, customers, and colleagues with support, advice, and guidance as part of your everyday role.

* Minimum of GCSE Grade in Maths & English or equivalent.
* Minimum Level 3 Hairdressing Qualification.
* Recognised Teaching & Assessing qualifications at Level 3 (or be working towards these).
* Industry experience in Hairdressing.
Desirable:
* Experience of working within the education/training sector.
* Competency in delivering other hair and beauty programmes.
* Prior experience of teaching.
