About the Role:
As a Senior Shift Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our manufacturing teams deliver excellence in performance, safety, and quality. You'll lead by example, motivating your team to achieve and exceed key business objectives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Health, Safety and Quality: champion and uphold health and safety, GMP and quality standards across the site.
- Team Management and Development: coach and guide the production team to achieve key manufacturing KPI's, including quality, RFT, OTIF, OEE, and waste reduction.
- Decision-making: make informed, independent decisions aligned with business goals.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: build effective partnerships between production and internal customers to enhance communication and operations.
- Training and Development: identify skills gaps, implement training plans, and ensure the team is equipped to meet current and future needs.
- People Management: monitor and manage staff attendance, performance, and behaviour to maintain a productive and engaged team.
About You:
We're looking for a dynamic leader who is passionate about team development and operational excellence. Ideal candidates will bring:
- Experience: 2-5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with FMCG.
- Education: a lean manufacturing qualification, relevant degree, or equivalent A-level further education.
- Technical Skills: proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Communication Skills: strong interpersonal and written communication skills to engage effectively across all levels.
- Analytical Thinking: proven problem-solving and data-driven decision-making abilities.
- Organisational Skills: the ability to manage priorities, set goals, and allocate time effectively.
- Coaching and Mentoring: a proactive approach to developing and motivating team members to excel.
